STAHLHELMS  WWII  MEDALS & INSIGNIA MUSEUM

The subject of WWII German Medals & Insignia is too vast to be covered in a few pages.  We will showcase the basic styles and variety of Medals, Iron Crosses, Cuff Titles, Breast Eagles, Sleeve Eagles and Hat Insignia worn by the Germans during World War Two.

The first section will showcase SS  insignia.  You will see SS Sleeve Eagles, SS Hat Eagles, SS Cuff Tiles, and other SS insignia.  All the items in this section were either donated to us or purchased by us directly from the U.S. WWII Veteran that brought them back.

The second section will showcase items from our WWII German
Police Insignia Collection.  Sleeve Eagles and Hat Eagles will be shown.

Please visit the different sections showing WWII German Army Insignia, Luftwaffe Insignia and Navy Insignia.  Each section will showcase Breast Eagles, Cuff Titles, Shoulder Boards, Collar Tabs, Hat Insignia and various Sleeve Insignia.

The final section of WWII German Medals & Insignia will show a general selection of German Medals.  Probably one of the most recognized medals in the world is the Iron Cross. We will show different examples of this infamous award as well as a variety of combat and service medals.  Unlike the U.S. that has the Purple Heart Medal for all wounded soldiers, the Germans had different grades of Wound Badges which represented different levels of wounds, black for minor wounds, silver for serious wounds and gold for severe or death.
