W.P. Henchel:
Mr. Henchel served
with the 6th Marines in the 2nd Infantry Division during World War One.
The Sixth Marines was first organized in
Quantico, Virginia on 11 July 1917. In
June 1918, the Regiment, together with
the Fifth Marines and Sixth Machinegun
Battalion launched the famous attack
against the German Forces entrenched in
Belleau Wood.

F. H. Neff:
Pvt. Neff was in the 82nd Division
in WWI.
He was a member of the 307 Field Signal
Battalion.
The 307th
Field Signal Battalion was constituted
in the National Army in 1917 at Camp
Gordon, Georgia. The battalion had an
enlisted strength of 471 men. The signal
unit was divided into outpost, wire and
radio companies, supply and headquarters
detachments.

H. Panton:
Lt. Panton was a Flight Observer
during World
War One.
The war ended before Mr. Panton was
transferred overseas.
